A quiet train journey back to Manchester. An opportunity to see your family and feel valued, feel comforted and to abandon your stresses.
Ryan Morgan looked up from his booth on the Transpenine express. He chuckled to himself before falling further into 'Infinity in the palm of your hands' the Marcus Chosen best seller.
The two time EHWF Champion had found the last few months to be challenging. The battle with Kingpin and his powerful Enforcer seemed endless.
He knew he was alone in it all too, well, at least aside from his overly involved family. They would be constantly texting him, consistently checking in and it was frustrating.
The Calculator, methodic in his nature knew he had to figure out a solution. Fast.
The biggest problem, was in the way of his son.
Young Reece, who he had failed once before was being held captive by Kingpin and of course, Ryan thought he had already found a way out.
He had been working for Kingpin for 20 years, bringing him large profits from his wrestling career. He had even promised to bring Kingpin the fountain of youth.. the Junior Heavyweight Championship.
Yet, it was all just a ruse. Kingpin would never return Ryan Morgan's son. He would simply toy with the EHWF star and eventually, leave him as the Forgotten Showman, 6 feet under - buried alive.
Ryan Morgan made a lot of mistakes, sure. Everyone could see it... But the truth is, only one mistake mattered.
It pains me to say this, but Ryan Morgan traded Reece Morgan for a wrestling career.
Kingpin wanted a son of his own, and promised Morgan riches and wrestling glory in return.
Sure, the young Englishman was naive and negligent, showing complete lack of compassion and disregard for Reece... But Ryan was only 15.
