OOC: Letting it be known now this has been a work in progress. I've been working on these rps every now and then when I had a change. To build on my character and to build on what he's going to be like upon my return. I still have one more left to do. It'll be done sometime in the next couple of days. There's no need to respond to any of this or make comments from an IC standpoint. Because it's technically not out in the open yet. Big thanks to my friend who isn't apart of this fed and Hannah for helping me out with this stuff. You guys are the best. Hopefully, someone will get a joy out of reading this rps - as I got the joy out of writing them in order to build things. Happy Holidays and enjoy your day!

Thanksgiving Day
It was meant to be a day where families came together. It was meant to be a day where food feasted upon. It was meant to be a day where people expressed what they were thankful for. However for the Martyr himself that wasn’t what today was about. In fact Calvin had opted not to be part of this year’s “Family Festivities” for reasons he didn’t feel the need to express. Not that anyone would have asked him in the first place. Standing alone in his kitchen, pulling plates out of his cabinet. He looked towards the front room - not too far off and shouted.

“Are you going to come in here and decide what you want?”
If there was one time of the year that was moe dreaded than the rest, it was most certainly this lump directly before the bitter cold of winter truly swept in. Thanksgiving was allegedly a time where families came together to celebrate one another - to embrace each other's positives and soothe each other's flaws. As if that weren't bad enough, the silly little holiday had also been found upon the murder of innocent lives - all in the name of saving face for the privledged imbeciles who had everything in the world to be thankful for.
All of this in mind, it was easy to see why someone such as Chasity Allure had difficulty enjoying this time of the year. But nonetheless, instead of locking herself away in her apartment and cutting off all ties to the outside world, Chasity had decided to cozy on up with someone for the evening.

" Talk about awful hospitality where the guest has to serve themselves. "
Even as the words slipped out, Chasity found her boot-clad feet dragging her figure towards the kitchen area. Those gray eyes focused in upon the scene she'd descended into - that of none other than Calvin Harris attempting to make sense of whatever was going on inside of the kitchen. For a brief moment, Chasity simply observed - those full lips pressed together in mild thought, those tanned arms loosely wrapped around her figure. Eventually, the opening and closing of cabinets and the clinking of silverware ceased, giving her a moment to speak up again.

Calvin pulled his attention away from his own plate there on the counter. Kind of narrowing his eyes and looking in her direction in the process.

“You told me you were starving and gave me a long list of shit from pizza to doritos to tacos. You just had to have it and I went out to the store - on the worst possible day of the year - aside from tomorrow. Now you’re not hungry?”
The past between Chasity and Calvin had been well documented. At one point they were just two people that worked for the same company together. Then they became “friendly” with one another. The associational drinking buddy. Then it turned into the turn of them putting the term “fuck buddies” to use and then from there it went to a full blown relationship - that was until winter when Calvin screwed everything up when he decided to cheat. Since the the two had been back and forth on what was going to happen between them. Things had been rocky, but now the two of them had something that was “bonding” them for good.
Taking a brief moment to sigh and calm himself down. Calvin reminding himself of the situation at hand and simply nodded his head a little bit as he picked her plate up off the counter. Only to put it right back into the counter above him. Not saying anything else as he turned back to his plate loading up on it with the random food that he had picked up and spent the last two hours preparing himself.
The way in which Calvin's gaze had narrowed in her general direction set off a series of chain reactions within Chasity's figure. She found herself unconsciously baiting her breath - the oxygen getting sucked into her lungs, but falling into a stalemate against the battle to transform into carbon dioxide. Her heart's rate dramatically rocketed into a heightened pattern, just as those dull, gray orbs widened to the smallest of fractions - as if to fully take in what she was wholly expecting to happen.
Only... nothing actually did happen. Calvin's statement was the last of his actions when concerning the topic at hand. He had said his piece - which was a lot more civil than she'd anticipated - and then he'd moved on. Chasity's face remained in that bewildered expression - the woman carefully studying Calvin's movements.
But after a beat, she seemed to finally understand what had happened.

Chasity's thin eyebrows narrowed slightly, more-so in confusion than anything else. In all of the time she had known Calvin, he never backed down from a fight - especially not when he felt slighted in some sort of way. He had never backed down from anyone - and she would've thought for certain he'd rather be dead, wrapped in his mother's cold embrace then back down against Chasity.

And then I refuse to even eat any of it. And you're... fine with this. "
Her words came out slowly - cautiously, even. But the more she spoke, the more the cogs in her blonde head seemed to turn - each piece working just a little bit harder to try and make sense of what was happening. In any normal situation, the fact that the young couple had been reunited after so long would surely send them into a honeymoon phase - for the nine-hundredth time. But Calvin and Chasity weren't a normal couple - and instead of genuinely appreciating their time together again, they found themselves in moments like there - as if they weren't wholly certain how to act.

Part of her felt her stomach turn at the mere mention of the current elephant in the room, but she held her own. Sinking her teeth down into the flesh on the inside of her cheek, Chasity further tightened her grip about herself - as if the physical restraint would allow her to further hold on to the past when concerning her and Calvin.

“It’s not that you did anything annoying.”
Ever since the bombshell had been dropped on Calvin that Chasity was pregnant. His world had been kind of been flipped upside down. When he and Carli had split, there was the night after Legacy between the two of them - then shortly after Chasity disappeared. It kind of made sense why considering what she had found out. There was no questioning in whether or not it was his. Calvin knew it was and although it had flipped his world upside down. Although, he had no idea what he was going to do or what was going to come of things. The one thing he did know was he was going to be a father in the next several months. Therefore that was going to be a very important priority if not priority number one. Calvin placed a couple slices of pizza on his already loaded plate and turned back to her briefly.

“Do you mind?”
This was bizarre. None of it was truly, legitimately adding up within her mind and the more she tried to figure it out, the more uncomfortable she was with the entire thing. It wasn't as if things were bad enough as they were - with Chasity needing to figure things out on her own and coming to terms with just what sort of predicament they were in at the current moment. And she thought that by telling Calvin, it would alleviate some of the pressure she was sinking beneath - but instead she felt herself being even more stressed out - even more questionably emotional - and even more confused.
Fact of the matter was, this wasn't supposed to be happening to them. They were supposed to have reunited come Legacy and they were supposed to have their cliche fairytale happy ending, yes, but to the point of bringing in a second generation when science had slapped them in the face over and over again on the topic? The alleged 'specialist' had gone so far as to venture into calling this a "miracle"; but Chasity wasn't sure what to call it. A burden? A curse?
What good was going to come of this. They both still clearly had problems if the second shit hit the fan Chasity ran off in any which direction and Calvin jumped back into bed with Carli. It wasn't as if bringing in a third party would make any of this easier. But yet, here they were.

" Yes. "
That single word slipped past Chasity's full lips without a second thought - the woman continuing to eye Calvin. She spoke in such a stiff, calculated manner that it almost seemed that there was an ulterior motive behind her response - as if she were trying to measure just how far Calvin was willing to go to avoid an unnecessary fight.

" Unless it's just far too much to ask for you to spend one sober night with your knocked up... whatever the fuck this is. Personally, it just makes sense that if I have to suffer, you might as well, too. But I know this all must be so hard on you. "
Her words, despite their bitter meanings, held no real credit in terms of hostility; again it was as if she were speaking solely for the sake of trying to get a rise out of Calvin. Lips pursed together tightly, Chasity's gaze flicked between the beer in Calvin's hand and his dark gaze.
Sure, the promise of morning sickness and weight gain and uncontrollable mood swings was enough to send anyone into the fetal position (no pun intended) - but what was one to do when their method of coping was quote, unquote highly dangerous when concerning the creature growing within them? Ever since the news had broken, there was nothing Chasity wanted to do more than to drown her confusion in her poison of choice - but, unfortunately, she'd done enough growing up within the past few years where she knew that she had to take this situation seriously. She had to act as an adult and realize that this opportunity... it may not ever come back around again. And she'd be damned if she'd fuck that up for Calvin. Or herself.

Without even so much as having another word to utter back on the matter at hand. Calvin turned right back around, pulled the door open, and placed the beer back on the top shelf. Only to grab a bottle of water out of the fridge. Shutting the door Calvin twisted the cap to the water bottle and took a quick swig only to put the cap back on. He grabbed a hold of his plate and turned towards her.

“For the record it isn’t too much to ask. I get your reason behind it and I thank you.”
Deep down Calvin knew how hard this was for Chasity. The two of them when they had been together were told they couldn’t have kids. Well, Chaisty was told that which resulted in her pushing Calvin away which then contributed to Calvin cheating. Boy, did these two have a ripple effect when it came to their actions. Somehow someway it always affected both of them and when it did. It wasn’t in a very positive manner. Knowing how hard this was and knowing how confusing this was. Calvin knew her instinct was to drink. Drink heavily. Get plastered and forget everything, but she hadn’t done that. Maybe she did it for his sake. Maybe she did it for her own sake. But one thing was for sure she did it for the baby’s sake. That spoke volumes in Calvin’s world.
If she was willing to do all of that for the sake of their unborn child - despite knowing what was going on between them. Then the least he could do was put down a beer and suffer with her because she couldn’t drink. Though, at the same time Calvin was also going out of his way to make this thing as easy and as comfortable as he could for her. The last thing he wanted to bring up was their situation and what was going to happen with them. She didn’t need the stress. It wasn’t good on her. So the subject was avoided and he kept things as cool as calm and collected as he could.
Keeping his gaze on her, he spoke out to her.

“Are you ready to get back into watching How I Met Your Mother?”
An awful heat spun itself around within the pit of Chasity's stomach - her pearly white teeth clenching down within the confines of her mouth. She found herself stuck there, standing still - absently staring as Calvin nonchalantly evaded her goading. None of this was working out the way she'd hoped it would - or at least not the way that she honestly, truly needed them to. Sure, most people would've fawned over the idea of their problematic significant other suddenly turning everything around and waiting on their beck and call. But Chasity didn't want that. She never asked for any of this.
She wanted things to go back to how they used to be. She wanted her best friend back. She wanted the screaming and fighting. She wanted this to all go away. It was too much of a commitment far too soon. Another wave of nausea gripped her for a brief moment, but she soon shook her head to and fro, whipping those multicolored strands of hair about the place.

" No. That stupid fucking parade is on and I feel like if we break all of the Thanksgiving traditions, God will smite us and we'll be exiled from America. Besides, the baby would probably much prefer some innocent, bouncy bullshit over Ted's pathetic quest for love, when really the entire show is all about him harassing and wearing down his good friend until she becomes so mentally deranged that she thinks she loves him back. "
Internally, Chasity was contemplating whether or not so many foul-mouthed words in one statement was good for the baby's health - but then again, she wasn't entirely sure if that should be a legitimate concern at the current moment. She and Calvin hadn't truly talked about any of this - she had just simply shown up, dropped the bombshell, and they both moved on with their lives like they were just accepting how this was going to go. They both simply assumed that they were going to keep it and stay together and live happily ever after.
And that was what they wanted, right?
Resisting the urge to scream and pull on her hair out of sheer frustration when Calvin didn't immediately reject her counter-offer when concerning the television, Chasity found herself raking her razor sharp fingernails through her scalp. Heaving in a deep breath of air, a fallen look of exasperation creased along her features.

Can you be normal for five fucking seconds and stop coddling me like every other knocked up woman hasn't been stressed or screamed at at some point? Go back to putting me in my place. Go back to screaming at me when you're wrong. Go back to being a stupid fucking man in situations like this. I guarantee you that us talking like Calvin and Chasity won't mysteriously kill the baby. "
For the second Calvin stood there blinking at Chasity with a little bit of a blank expression on his face. He had tried to do everything he could to make her feel comfortable and to make them hanging out feel normal. Apparently to her that wasn’t normal and with it not being normal. It wasn’t good enough for her which caused her to lash out in the manner that she was. However Calvin couldn’t tell if this was Chasity expressing herself... or if it was the hormones of being pregnant causing her to lash out. Either way he was calm and tried to find the best way to go about responding.

“For starters yelling and screaming isn’t going to do any of us any favors. After all the last thing you need is to be stressed out. You don’t need to get upset. Have your blood pressure and stuff like that raise. Those kinds of things can cause a miscarriage.”
Talking about such a sensitive subject such as a miscarriage, especially when it involved their unborn child. That was a problem for Calvin. It kind of got under his skin. It made him worry a little bit. It even made him feel sick. That was the absolute worst thing that could happen. If things that had happened between them weren’t already bad enough. That would take the cake and that would kill them. It would kill them as people and it would kill anything they did have with one another. Trying to put the thought to rest. Calvin placed his plate down and looked at her.

Shaking his head a little bit from side to side. Calvin had never expected her to forgive or forget what he did. Truth be told he couldn’t forgive or forget what he did himself. Although he and Carli had gone back and forth since their own split. Point being Chasity would always be his first true love. He could never deny that or let that go.

The world knows it. If there’s ever a chance that we’re going to any type of functioning relationship. Then one us has to learn to back down. I’m being that one to back down. Because you and this baby need that. You deserve that.”
At that point he stepped forward and in the first time in months there was a “physical connection” between them. Calvin reached out placing his large palm on her slightly growing stomach. Looking her right in the eyes to speak again.

“And on top of all that Chasity, I could never live with myself. If I wasn’t here for my own child. Regardless of what we are. We may be fucked up, but I’d like to think two fucked up individuals can co-exist somehow to make sure a baby grows up and has everything they deserve in life. I just hope you’re willing to work with me on that.”
His words seemed to have lingered about and must have done enough to break through Shady’s tough mental state. It was like she couldn't help herself as she reached out and grabbed a hold of Calvin wrapping her arms around his neck. Burying her face into his chest and squeezing him for a hug. Calvin wasn't going to deny her. He wrapped his arms around her lower back and gently squeezed. In an attempt to reassure her that this was going to be alright. Neither one of them had asked to be in the situation they were in. They always found themselves in a fucked up situation. Nothing was ever normal with them, but now they had to find a way to function. Find a way to get along and find a way to do the right thing. They just might have been taking steps in the right direction.

Or herself.

" Do what you want. "

" How does that not even get a reaction out of you. How are you so fucking calm right now. Who are you anymore. "
Despite their outward appearance, none of those statements truly deserved a credible answer. Chasity's fingers again raced through her hair, those eyes staring at Calvin incredulously.

" This entire thing is just fucking annoying and strange and, I don't even know what else... I don't understand what the fuck is going on and you being weird as all hell is making things worse and I feel like I just walked into the Twilight Zone and I'm constantly freaking out.

“Besides Chasity, I’m honestly tired of it. I’m tired of yelling. I’m tired of screaming. I’m tired of fighting. Yes, I know that I’ve done some fucked up unforgivable things. I don’t expect you to forgive me. If you hold it against me to the day you die. I’ll understand and won’t blame you. Hell, if I ever woke up in the middle of the night. You standing over me and ready to stab me right in the chest with the sharpest blade from the kitchen. I’d get it. I’m a shitty human being.”

“But as shitty as I am and as much as I fucked things up with us. You deserve someone that’s going to be there for you every step of the way. If that means I’m only here for you as a friend. If it means I’m here for you as your boyfriend. Or if it means I’m here for you as just your baby’s father. Then so be it, but us fighting like we did. Made us unhappy. You know it. I know it.

We created this human being and it’s up to us to raise it to the best of our ability.
