Since the start of the NFL 2018 football season is right around the corner and less than a month away. I was curious to see who you guys thought would be the next Superbowl Champions.
I'm a diehard Indianapolis Colts fan, but I still think they are another strong off-season away from making a strong playoff push. In the AFC the Patriots are obviously the favorites, as they managed to upgrade their already loaded roster. The Raiders are a team that can make a strong push Since David Carr is back and healthy, and they also added Marshawn Lynch. The Pittsburgh Steelers are always scary with that offense they have, if their defense can step up, they can also make a strong push for the Lombardi trophy.
The NFC is a complete wild card to me right now and I haven't really been following up a lot on the NFC. I really like what the Dallas Cowboys have offensively and if their defense can hold their ground, they could very well be making a trip to Minneapolis January 4th. The Packers are always a contender as long as they have Aaron Rodgers leading the way. I never count out Seattle and I like what the Giants have done the past two years, but they play in the toughest division in football and I don't see them beating out Dallas.
Prediction: The New England Patriots vs The Dallas Cowboys
Personally.. I'm not a fan of either one of these teams and absolutely hate the Patriots with a passion. If this happens, I wouldn't mind seeing this game actually happen. I think it would be a shootout that would ultimately end with The Dallas Cowboys winning their sixth Lombardi trophy. This would be a kind of passing the torch from nearly two decades of a dominant Patriots team led by Tom Brady as their Quarterback, to Dak Prescott and the rest of the National Football League.
Prediction: Dallas Cowboys 34 New England 31
Winner: The Dallas Cowboys

Personally any team BUT the The New England Patriots this year. I'd like to see one of the following TOP THREE... the outcome is well too hard to choose lol;
-OR-
-OR- THE BATTLE OF NEW YORK!

Diehard Dolphins Fan and Yeah they might have Cutler now but the Bears had No O-Line.. We have a pretty decent O-Line and I feel like if he has actual time in the pocket, He could do work

But they also have Cutler now....soooooo.... That's not saying much. Cutler isn't a top 10 QB and isn't someone who can carry a team. The Dolphins are also in the AFC East with the Patriots. I don't see the Dolphins making the playoffs this year.

-OR- THE BATTLE OF NEW YORK!The Jets could possibly go 0-16 this season. The Saints defense is trash and Drew Brees is still a top 10 QB, but the guy is near the end of his career. The Steelers offense can look unstoppable at times, but whenever they play the Patriots they always get buried. I seriously think the Steelers need a new head coach and this could very well be Roethlisberger's last season playing. They could potentially lose their star QB and Bell after the season since he's a free agent. The Packers are always a threat, but their defense needs to show up this season. Aaron Rodgers is a top 3 NFL QB, but he can't be Superman every week. Also, I'm not a fan of their head coach. Same goes for the Steelers. I hate the Patriots more than any other sports team of any sport. But as long as they have Belichick they will always be contenders. That guy can seriously pick up a random dude off the street and turn him into a household name. It makes me sick.

They have some solid players on offense (especially at the WR position) and their defensive front is pretty scary with Wake and Suh. I'm pretty sure they their secondary could use a few upgrades and I'm not sure how their LB's are.
Maybe the Dolphins need a new identity? Maybe a new head coach? It's hard to make the playoffs when the Patriots are in your division and they're pretty much a lock to win the division and clinch home field advantage through the playoffs.

I've been a diehard Colts fan since 1994 and already know this season is going to be painful to watch. Luck is still out with a shoulder injury and he could possibly miss the first few games of the season. Luck is our only hope to ever win a Superbowl, but he also needs an offensive line who can protect him. He literally is forced to throw the ball a ton, because our defense blows and we're constantly playing from behind and since our offensive line can't open up holes for our running backs, everyone is prepared for Luck to drop back and throw the ball forty times a game. If we can equip him with protection and a respectable running game week in and week out, I know he can put up MVP numbers.
The coaching is a joke in Indianapolis. Chuck Pagano needs to go at the end of the season and I'm 100% positive he will be. I love that we brought in Chris Ballard from Kansas City to take over the GM role.
I honestly think we should just sit Luck out the entire season and allow him to return in 2018 fully healthy. The Colts are loaded with cap space next off-season and if Luck sits, they will most definitely be picking insie the top 5-10 in the draft next spring.
They could hire a new coach and spend a little cash on some solid free agents. If we can nail the draft I honestly believe the Colts can bounce back in 2018 with a healthy Luck and much improved roster.
I'm actually optimistic about our future as long as we have a healthy Luck.
