Interview

Easter had come and gone and EHWF's Final Destination. An event so big that it took place on two continents. As such many of the talents scheduled for the event were out doing media rounds. Which is exactly why we found a red suited Sujir Thor walking into an office building in downtown Seattle. Over his right shoulder gleamed the polished shiny surface of the EHWF Extreme Championship.
As he walks through the lobby he finds the resident list near the bank of elevators and makes his way towards the interview he had that afternoon. There was a smile on his lips as he did the last bit of mental preparation. He was going to shake things up, or more accurately lay the groundwork with this media appearance.

A short while later we find Sujir sitting in a plush dark blue lounge seat with his championship resting on the circular black walnut table that was next to him. The rest of the room was decorated in various sports memorabilia and pictures. Across the table sat a young man who looked more at home on a basketball court than as the host of a podcast. Yet, as they said, looks could be deceiving. With a slightly raised hand to indicate that it was Sujir's turn to speak.
Max James: Hello sports fans, welcome to Art of the Grind. I am your host Max James and we have quite the treat for you today. Our guest live with me here in the studio today is none other than the Extreme Hardcore Wrestling Federation's Extreme Champion Sujir Thorn.
As this Max's hand lowers a bit as he looks over at Sujir waiting for the response. They had gone over the timing for things before the taping had started so everything went smoothly.
Sujir Thorn: Thanks for having me Max.. I look forward to our conversation and answering your questions.
Max: Good to hear it. Let's get right into it, shall we? First of all, how does it feel to be going into Final Destination as the EHWF Extreme Champion?
Sujir: It feels great. Ever since I destroyed Holden Ross and became the champ last year, I have been doing everything possible to elevate the EHWF Extreme Championship. Sure after winning it i didn't make my first defense of the belt until Salvation after months of building up an Insidious feud with Hive. In the end it was an all or nothing match. As evidenced by the fact I sit here today as we reach the one year mark on my reign you can see how that went down. A few big matches followed including Remi Skyfire in a match that I honestly shouldn't have lost but allowed myself to get distracted. That distraction ended up being in the form of Gotham O'Rein. Oh the kid had style and some balls which is why I let him take a shot at the belt. He got his shot at Bloodbath where I drew first blood. You know what all three of these people have in common? None of them work for EHWF anymore and seem to have just vanished into nothing.
There is a stop as Sujir takes a breath before taking a drink from a nearby solid colored plastic bottle.
Max: Quite the resume but that isn't the whole story is it?
Sujir: You are right about that as my next title defense was against the impressive newcomer Jacob Letoa. Kid has guts and is hungry, as evidenced by the Age of the Fall's more recent attitudes. I look forward to seeing where that goes.
Max: You are right, Age of the Fall has a lot of potential but we are here to talk about you Champ. I have to ask how you have been coping with the passing of your father at Retribution?
Sujir takes a deep breath as he uses the pause to give himself a moment to collect his thoughts.
Sujir: Honestly, I have been taking it one day at a time. Given the complexities of our relationship and the traumas of the past we dealt with over the years the whole process of grieving has been unique. Another factor in all of this is that while his death came suddenly it wasn't a total shock. After all, he openly said he was dying and made it clear, at least to the family, that he wanted to go out before his memory failed him. With that being said my responsibilities as the EHWF Extreme Champion have been a helpful distraction and source of focus for me.
Max: Sounds like you are managing things well enough then. Though how does it all factor into your upcoming match against BRADDOCK?
Sujir: Honestly BRADDOCK has been involved with Insidious as a whole for months. Sure Aaron and Lu Chen teamed up with him eons ago and picked up a win but that wasn't even the real start to the issues. Oh no that came Bloodbath where Aaron and Lu Chen came out and beat the shit out of him which made Insidious' intention to claim the EHWF Showtime Championship for our own. Which as we all know Aaron finally took and held for 20 days. Sure it wasn't the longest of reigns but in the process it ended BRADDOCK's own reign as Showtime Champion. Admittedly, I may have been involved in how things turned out with my role in the attacks and beat downs but all is fair in love and war. However, things are finally coming to an end at Final Destination and I honestly don't think BRADDOCK knows what he is in for in our match. You see I have a legacy to protect and more than that his flesh offers me the perfect canvas to release a lot of pent up emotions on. I can promise you right that Sunday night won't be pretty or for the faint of heart. There will be blood and carnage galore. In fact, I could almost promise that someone will end up in the hospital by the time the match is over.
By the end of those words Sujir's voice had taken on a darkly menacing tone that dripped with the promise of violence. Max's face shows a look of shock for a few seconds before he clears his throat to ask the next question.
Max: That sounds ominous but given all that has been going on I am sure it will be a great match regardless. I am curious though, what is next for you Sujir? Do you have any plans for after Final Destination?
Sujir: Funny you should ask about that Max, since there will be a big announcement coming at Final Destination. No I won't spoil it here but I can tell you it will be worth the wait."
The conversation continues for a bit longer going over some other aspects of Sujir's life in and out of the wrestling world.
