Anyone looking forward to this on Friday? There's a lot of pretty cool matches I'm looking forward to like the 50 man Royal Rumble, Cena vs Triple H, The IC Ladder Match, and even The Undertaker vs Rusev in a Casket Match. Plus Reigns and Lesnar in a steel cage.
I'll take it.

I'm mostly looking forward to the show. Of course some of the matches follow no storyline whatsoever because it's a publicity stunt, which feels weird. That's not necessarily bad, it just feels strange when they try to weave everything together nowadays.
Rumors say they were worried about Taker's health which is why his Wrestlemania match was so short, which makes me wonder if he is just going to squash Rusev. I expect it to be a good match though.
With Cena losing all the time, I'm not sure how I feel about Triple H vs. Cena. I am sure it'll be a great match, it just doesn't have as much hype as it would have before.
The Universal Championship match I fully expect Roman to win, which I'm looking forward to, because Brock needs to go. I'm looking at this as a shinier of two terds scenario. The match, however, I expect to be of low quality because both of those guys have only like 3 moves in their arsenal.
The rumble itself I expect to be pretty cool. It's going to be interesting to see who they pull out of the woodwork to hit that 50 man quota.
All in all, though it is somewhat detached from most of the storylines, I am excited for it for the most part just because of the wide array of stipulations, and several matches that could see some title changes. That and I could never hate an Undertaker appearance.

Yeah man, the whole Cena vs Triple H can literally go either way at this point since both guys are at that stage in their careers to put over the younger talent.
I'll take a PPV on a Friday afternoon to kill a few hours before the NFL Draft comes on. Lol

So does the 50 man Royal Rumble work like the regular Royal Rumble? Have they distinguished that yet? Like would the winner get a title match at Summerslam or something like that? It's kind of a grey area.

I'm looking forward to it. I'm interested to see where titles land. Like will ic and us switch brands? I think the ladder match will steal the show. And how often do we get cage matches!? Hopefully Reigns wins so the title can be actually meaningful on raw again. And the undertaker in a casket match? Cant complain there. I thought the same about the rumble itself, like is it for something? If not then what's the point. I think the only annoying part is that there is no build or story behind a lot of the match ups. But I'm taking it all with a grain of salt and thinking it should be a fun night.

Happy for Strowman and I'm digging that belt he got for winning the GRR. The green strap is pretty sick.

I thought it was a fairly good show.
Triple H vs Cena was okay, good not great. But still nice to watch. Didnt realize its been 8 years since they last wrestled eachother.
I honestly skipped the cruiserweight, us and both tag title matches cause they didn't look good on paper as something id wanna watch.
Ic ladder was pretty cool, happy Seth retained its too soon after his win to loose it already.
I loved the wwe title match thought it was better than their mania match. Kinda dumb ending with a double count out but thats a 3rd match at backlash. Id actually like to see shinske walk out with the belt.
Casket match was just long enough to tell a quick story and undertaker looked great still, hoping this means a semi return schedule this year and not just manias.
Cage match was decent also better than the mania match. But the ending! Botch. Romans feet hit the floor first, since when does ur body count?
The GRR... I liked the first third and the last third of the match but the middle got very boring. Way to many nxt no bodies not enough surprises. Daniel Bryan looked and did fantastic loved seeing him breaking reys record of longest time spent in rumble. I was worried about Jericho cause he looked out of shape but he is the goat after all looked great! Brawwwwn.
Winner: Titus oneil tripping down the ramp

I'm wondering if they're gonna treat the title like a sactioned title an dhe's gonna defend it or if it's like a defend it sometimes, or if it's like the Andre/Women's Battle Royals at WM.
As far as the other matches go;
-Cena vs. Triple H, meh.. I think both guys need to hit the bricks for a few months.
-Cruiserweight Title match was like every Cruiserweight matches, some good spots. Champion retained
-Raw Tag Team Championship match was all over when it even began, when Sheamus and Cesaro were put on SmackDown, Matt and Bray had to win truthfully.
-SmackDown Tag Team Championship match, another match that everyone knew the outcome.. they're gonna treat Harper and Rowan so well right now.
-Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship, I knew Seth Rollins would keep it.. cause it would be kinda dumb for him to win it at Mania and drop it so soon. But I actually thought Balor was actually gonna win it. -- Sidenot on the Ladder match, I think it's gonna be funny to see out Fatty Joe is gonna react now since he's been complaining about Reigns and his matches with Reigns.. yet he "Promised" the entire world that he was "going to leave Saudi Arabia with the IC title" and didn't, it's gonna be funny to see how Joe put's that behind him being his constant bitching of Reigns, yet he just did the samething #BrainDeadJoe
-The WWE Championship match, I saw to a point.. I actually thought they were gonna let Nakamura win the title, I guess there gonna do it at Backlash though. I feel Nakamura needs to build on his heel gimmick before getting the title, feud with someone else before gettng the title, but whatever, I guess.
-Casket match, I think if Rusev beat Taker no matter what, there'd be a freaking riot, Taker's way to respected in WWE. Plus either Rusev is done or they're rebranding him and English or something.
-Steel Cage match for the WWE Universal Championship, Well one I think Vince is really showing the world that Lesnar is not just HIS BOY.. he's proving that Lesnar is his bitch. Now alright, Reigns ain't liked by most of the fans, but he should have won the title in Saudi Arabia and was screwed in Saudi. I mean really, Lesnar's feet never officially touched the floor, they were still UP on the fence, Reigns rolled off.. therefore his FEET touched first.. therefore, Reigns should be Universal Champion. Hate it or no.
-As far as the Greatest Royal Rumble goes, I think they did pretty good with it, Strowman's been working hard enough to win something and giving him the Greatest Royal Rumble win is that something to start with. I still wanna know if he'll be "defending" the title or if it's just like a one time thing or a yearly thing or something.

I'm a sucker for green.
I'm just sick of Reigns/Lesnar doing 500 finishers to each other and the other guy still manages to kick out. I miss the days when a finisher meant something and it was rare for someone to kick out of one.
The show itself was decent and I'm not gonna complain with a PPV being on a Friday afternoon.

I agree about finishers. They really mean nothing nowadays. The biggest reason I hate Reigns vs. Lesnar is not only because they constantly kick out of finishers, but also because they both only hit like two different moves a fight. Lesnar does German Suplexes and F5s while Reigns hits nothing but Superman Punches and a Spear...rinse, wash, and repeat. That's the biggest reason I wanted Reigns to win, so this program can end already.

I could deal with it if they were scheduled to face once at Wrestlemania to hand the Universal Championship over to Roman, but having them face each other 3-4 times within a few months is painful to watch. This is why people no longer care about this feud and the two individuals involved. Vince McMahon cares more about breaking records then he does telling a good story and allowing a successful feud to end instead of shoving meaningless matches down our throats.
I understand people not liking Lesnar and I feel the same way. I actually feel bad for Reigns because the reason people hate him isn't that he sucks, it's because of poor booking of his character. I honestly feel bad for the dude.

I don't like Roman, and though I do agree some of it is the poor booking, and constant being shoved down our throats (neither of which are his fault), there are other reasons. I, personally, don't like the way he calls out other wrestlers on twitter and belittles them. I also dislike his limited moveset (though I don't know if he is to blame for that either). He just isn't that exciting to watch. That's just me though.

Those reasons are fine with me. I don't dislike the guy but he's not one of my favorites. I agree with you about his limited moveset. Even his two main moves (spear, Superman punch) could use some polishing up and perhaps he could've given those moves a different name to go by. I use to hate how Vince would shove John Cena down our throats but after all these years I learned to respect and appreciate the guy because he's just that valuable of an asset to the company. Roman doesn't have the mic skills, gimmick or popularity to become anything remotely close to what Cena's done for the WWE. I see Roman having a career similar to Randy Orton when it's all said and done. At least Reigns is there week in and week out and puts in the work and that's good enough for me. Fuck Vince and Lesnar for allowing this nonsense to continue on well past Wrestlemania.
I'm a Seth Rollins guy but I think Braun deserves a nice long run with the Universal Championship.
