New Orleans, Louisiana
ABC: A la orden.
Hanging up the shop phone, Alex "Bullet" Carbajal turns to her newest co-worker, her eighteen-year-old sister, Gabriela “Taza” Carbajal.
ABC: Un cliente potencial se cae aquí pronto. ¿Estás listo?
Taza nods without hesitation.
GTC: ¿Deberíamos quitarnos los kuttes?
Bullet shakes her head quickly.
ABC: Podríamos necesitar overoles.
Taza nods and heads back into the next room while Bullet waits for the new client to arrive. After a few moments, the roaring sound of a motorcycle can be heard arriving at the garage and the rider is a behemoth of a woman, must be around six foot with tree trunk like arms and legs with short dirty blonde hair. She’s dressed in a pair of black leather biker boots, a pair of skin tight black denim jeans with chains hanging off them, a black In This Moment T-shirt, a sleeveless black leather jacket with chains hanging off them, a pair of black leather spike studded wristbands and a black leather spike studded choker with a gold ring in her right nostril and red ear plug piercings in each ear. Switching the engine off, the woman kicks the support down on her bike and climbs off before making her way over to Bullet.
Woman: Yeah, I’m looking for this Alex chick? My manager contacted her on Twitter about my bike trouble and I was told about this place.
Bullet extends a hand.
ABC: ¿A la orden? I’m Alex.
The woman looks down at the hand and after a brief moment of hesitation, she finally accepts the handshake.
Woman: Kara… Kara Carter. Something’s wrong with my bike and I have a wrestling show to be at tomorrow night in Florida so I’d like to get it fixed as soon as I can.
Bullet nods, glancing at the bike.
ABC: What is it doing?
Carter shrugs as she looks back at it.
KC: I’m not really sure… the ride just ain’t as smooth as it usually is. Might have something to do with the fact that I’ve come all the way from Cali on it…
She turns back to Bullet.
KC: ...so do you think you can fix whatever’s wrong with it?
Bullet smirks.
ABC: I know we can, it will just take a few minutes to see.
She pauses and then nods.
ABC: Do you mind if my sister gives a test ride to see? She is taller than I am and would fit your bike better.
Carter outstretches her arms and shrugs.
KC: You do what you gotta do.
Bullet nods.
ABC: ¡Gabriella! ¡Ven aquí! ¡Te necesito!
A few seconds later, Taza walks back into the room.
GTC: ¿A la orden?
Bullet nods to the bike sitting before them.
ABC: Test ride.
Taza nods and then turns to face the tall blonde woman.
GTC: You are okay with this?
Carter raises an eyebrow and smirks, looking Taza up and down before nodding.
KC: I’ve certainly got no problem with you giving it a test ride, that’s for sure.
Taza nods, climbs on and fires the bike up. She gives it an interested, almost concerned look right off before putting the bike into gear and driving out into the parking lot, disappearing around the corner. Bullet nods slowly, watching her sister roll off.
ABC: She obviously felt something right off. This is good. The only way this is better would be if Khary were here today but this is his day off.
She pauses.
ABC: You are… Killer Carter?
Carter glances over to Bullet at the mention of her ring name and folds her large arms across her chest and nods.
KC: Yeah… you a wrestling fan?
Bullet shrugs.
ABC: Wrestle myself. I think you’ve met Khary’s sisters, Ashley and Bethany.
Carter raises an eyebrow.
KC: The Kenyons? Yeah… I’m familiar with them…
She looks back to where Taza disappeared off to on her bike.
KC: ...so… is your sister seeing anyone?
Bullet almost starts laughing.
ABC: Her last date did not end so well. The caremona decided to try and force himself on her. She kneed him in the groin and then broke her tea cup over his head. Made her decide that had been a failed experiment.
Carter snarls a little before letting out a small sigh.
KC: So she ain’t into girls then?
ABC: She is. The cup incident made her decide men were the failed experiment.
She pauses and then smirks playfully.
ABC: It’s also why we started calling her “Taza” instead of “Balacita.” She liked being reminded of knocking him out over how much everybody tells her she wants to be me.
Carter looks back over to Bullet, raising her eyebrow again.
KC: Are those Spanish words or something? The only language other than English that I speak is Ukrainian.
Bullet nods.
ABC: We were born in Colombia, Medillín. “Balacita” is a play on my nickname, which is “Bullet.” Balacita means “Little Bullet” or “Bullet, Jr.” “Taza” means “cup.” The other Maidens liked that one too so it stuck.
KC: Maidens? As in the Shieldmaidens?
Carter chuckles as she shakes her head.
KC: Well fuck me… who would have thought that the place I came to to get my bike fixed was where the Shieldmaidens hang out…
She once again looks over to the entrance to the garage.
KC: ...she gonna be much longer?
Before Bullet can answer, Taza pulls around the corner coming from the opposite direction and rides back in.
ABC: ¿Que encontraste?
Taza steps off the bike and nods to her sister.
GTC: Slight vibration on the right. Needs tune-up, might need to check spark plugs and fuel injectors but it does not feel like it should be major. We should be able to have this on the road in an hour.
Bullet nods approvingly.
ABC: See what you find.
Taza nods.
GTC: I have this.
Carter checks out Taza for a second time before looking into her eyes.
KC: So how much is it gonna cost?
Bullet shrugs as she turns to walk away.
ABC: If she is right? Fifty dollars. This sounds like you have caught it before it became anything bad.
Taza crosses her arms, looking not unlike her sister did earlier.
GTC: ¿Sin fe?
Bullet looks at Carter and nods to her sister.
ABC: See.
Snickering, she turns back to her sister.
ABC: Get to it, Prospect.
Bullet heads into the next room while Taza gets her tools and gets to work.
GTC: It is a nice ride.
KC: Thanks.
Carter keeps her eyes locked onto Taza while she works on the bike.
KC: I wasn’t asking your sister how much it would cost to fix my bike by the way, you know?
Taza continues working without looking up.
GTC: Oh?
The blonde lightly licks her lips and smirks.
KC: Yeah, I was actually asking you how much it would cost to take you out on a date.
Taza snickers.
GTC: She was off in her estimation then.
KC: Oh really? Well I’m sure I could afford to take you out… it’s the least I could do considering you’re fixing up my ride.
Taza pauses for a second, looking up at Carter with a confused look on her face.
GTC: ¿Vas en serio?
KC: Sorry, I don’t speak Spanish.
GTC: You are serious?
Carter nods.
KC: Of course I’m serious. I like what I see in front of me.
Taza stops what she’s doing to take in the woman looking down at her.
GTC: I would be open to this.
KC: Glad to hear it. Once you fix my bike, we’ll exchange numbers and I’ll give you a call when I’m available.
Taza nods as she goes back to work on the bike.
GTC: I’m Gabi.
KC: Kara.
