"The time has arrived." Muttered Ryan Morgan in a daze, as he sat in his apartment in the aftermath of retribution.
"It's obvious now. What gives me the right to sit here like a broken record, and accept my place amongst the unworthy and villainous. What right do I have to wallow in self pity and defeat. What right do I have to let my legacy become an afterthought."
Morgan graces the top of his forehead with his index finger, where a small; still bloody cut slowly dries. He smirks and leans back, looking up at the ceiling; speaking to someone, perhaps god or a divine power; as if he holds the entity's undivided attention.
"The time has arrived. Ha, I've said that already haven't I. Jesus, I really am repeating myself like a broken record, devoid of the ability to live in the moment, constantly searching through my actions and past motions, hesitating to make a move if it doesn't fit in with the plan. The thing is, plans change; and in fact, for me they change constantly. Daily, perhaps by the hour."
He shakes his head, looking down at his bruised and beaten legs; as they sit in black sports shorts.
"My inconsistency has ruined me. Not just in this Kingpin... situation. But in general, over the last few years; I have allowed it to consume me and change me. I have gone from the Main event, EHWF Hall Of Famer to a comedy character. I've become the very thing I swore not to be."
An evil grin appears on the Forgotten Showmans face.
"I know what I must do." He acknowledges, with venom in his gaze. "To beat Kingpin, to destroy the enforcer and save my son... I must do what I never wanted to do. I will make a statement on Mayhem next week. But, it wont be as The Forgotten Showman, Ryan Morgan. It will be as the methodical, genius of a man... known as The Calculator."
