• Grabbing his gear... • ----------------------------------------- After a hard fought battle against Drake Coleman at last night's Mayhem, Tyler had went out after the match to celebrate and in doing so had forgotten to pick up his ring hear to take to England for the upcoming pay-per-view. It has been a long week and he is still trying to adjust to the schedule. He is is the public locker room in which the men of EHWF share. A few other superstars must have left their gear behind so Tyler didn't feel as embarrassed. He grabs his back and checks to make sure all of his gear was in it as someone else came in. ----------------------------------------- • tbc •

The halls cried their empty whine, not a person in sight could be found and not a sound echoed off the walls from side to side. I wandered through the halls. It was a feeling, I sure have missed over my rehabilation era. I had missed my empty-minded walks around the buildings. It gave me something to do, and it helped me prepare for my matches. No matter the stakes this would be like my pre-match ritual. The feeling of it wasn't a huge action exhilerating thrill, it was more of a calming and peace walk that I took to ease at my pre-match nerves.
My empty walk-around, led me to the entrance to the locker room. I noticed a few people from when I was here back in late 2012. I nodded my head gently at them when they walked by. I stood at the edge of the door before I gently leaned my back against the wall surrounding the door. The locker room was slowly cleaning out. A few new faces passed by me and nodded at me. They showed their respect to an EHWF veteran. They knew who I was, and they knew if they messed with me it'd be a decision they'd regret their entire life. They'd remain in a wheel chair after their match, while I...I would go off to live a life full of success.
I entered through the doorway after about five minutes of waiting at the edge of the door. A few guys had left their gear and began to pack it up slowly as they noticed my presence. That was the feeling I brought to a room. I made people slow their movement, I made people respect me with just my own presence. Not a word needed to be drawn from my lips in-order for me to receive respect. I drenched my hands into the pockets of my jeans, and I stood there with a slight grin. I lifted my body up onto the base of my toes and nodded at every one of them.
One of the men was different. He didn't even turn to look at me, he just kept getting his gear. This guy had to have been a rookie, probably just joined or joined after my absence. The man shut his locker and grabbed his bag full of his gear. He checked it before turning and seeing me in his path. I grinned slightly at him, offering my respect and showing I had nothing held against him.
"You must be a new kid?"

Tyler Gates "I've been here a couple of weeks." Tyler was in fact new to EHWF but not entirely new to the wrestling scene. He had been in a couple of smaller brands and he knew the backstage antics were much of the same. Some people who came to the locker room were quiet and kept to themselves, some demanded their own rooms, while a few were friendly. Too many times the ego from the ring spilled to the back and to the private lives and Tyler had no interest in being apart of such politics. He was there to do his job and do it well.
He looked directly into the man's eyes as he spoke, it was a sign of respect that Tyler had for anybody. It also was body language to show he wasn't scared or felt like a lesser person. He knew if he showed weakness some of the guys would try to stomp on that.
Tyler wanted to be personable as he extended his hand. Tyler Gates "I don't believe I have seen you backstage before, my name is Tyler Gates."

My body tensed up through his gaze. This kid had the attitude, I could tell just through his gaze. He gave me respect, and I admired that. There was something different about this kid, he had something that I saw in my younger self. I eased my body and let my shoulders sag. I pulled my hand out of my pocket and met it with his extended hand.
"Tyler, it's a pleasure. Jason Dave, god's gift to pro wrestling."
I eased back and let go of his hand. I went back into the previous stance I held, keeping my guard up incase of any attacks from behind.
"I actually watched your match tonight, I like what you got in the ring. You beat a veteran out there in just your first few weeks. You got some decent looking in-ring moves in there."

Tyler was happy to know that people were starting to pay attention to him. He has come to find the acceptance that he truly felt he deserved. After all, too many people overlooked him. He looked at Jason Dave and knew that at any given moment, he himself could be on that level.

I nodded my head slowly and gently. The kid had potential: he knew when and who to give out respect to and he had talent in the ring. The only thing I needed to see was his mic skills before I could judge his threat level. I couldn't let this clutter my head now though. I relaxed my body again and took a seat on the cold hard bench. I let out a long stress relieving sigh.
"Do what you do...I like it. Just an assumption: your one of those types of guys who just does what he does and by that I mean go down to that ring, win the match and just keep doing that till you get what you want or asked for?"

Tyler Gates "Well it's worked alright so far. I just think that talking only goes so far, and even more so now when you got all the people who only talk. And that's all they do is run their mouths. Like that group that was running around here trying to cause a scene. All they are is a bunch of bitches who run their mouth but don't do shit in the ring. If you can talk and back it up then by all means go for it. Just my opinion though." It was nice to have a conversation in this place with someone other than a woman. Not that he didn't mind the company of a nice looking girl, he just needed more of a guy conversation. This Jason dude seemed alright by Tyler. He was cocky and not rude by any means.

The kid spoke the truth, Undead Army ran around like they were everything, but they were going to die Sunday when I would face them with Rissi.
"I know just exactly who you are talking about. Undead Army fags, they are going to die when I beat their ass this Sunday with Rissi."
