The scene opens up to a lush university campus and a perfectly landscaped quad with dozens of students hurrying to and from class, lounging in the sun, or chatting with friends. The camera frame moves through a set of wide double doors on a large brick building down a hall past students, professors, and staff into an office with bare walls, a chair, and a desk with a box. Sitting in the chair is a perfectly groomed man wearing glasses, a green bowtie, and a brown tweed jacket. The Professor nods as the camera crew make their way into his office followed by the ever present Alexnader Corvis.
The Professor leans forward in his chair running his fingers through his perfectly parted blonde hair.
The Professor: Hello, Alexander. I wasn’t really expecting you today.
Alexander Corvis: Oh I won’t take much of your time Professor. I’m just here because to introduce you to the fans.
(The Professor flashes a toothy grin at the thought of being in the ring and having fans again.)
The Professor: Yes yes..Of course. I’ve got a bit of time before my next class. Carry on.
Alexander: First off the fans want to know how on Earth you plan on keeping up with your obligations at the university while fulfilling your contract with EHWF.
The Professor: I take my responsibilities seriously. One does not reach this level of academia by giving less than a full effort. I have dedicated my career to educating some of the brightest minds this world has ever seen. I get to see the product of my efforts every day on the boards of directors of Fortune 500 companies, making policy for the most powerful governments in the world, and heading up research at this country’s foremost universities.
Alexander: Your background in education is not in question Professor. In fact your dedication to your field is what has the fans nervous. They’re concerned that you won’t have the time necessary to train at the level required to be a superstar in this business.
The Professor I’m way ahead of you Alexander. This term is nearly over. I’ve already notified the President that I will not be returning. Leaving this place is bittersweet for me Alex. It has been a dream come true and has given me great satisfaction. But all good things must come to an end. I’m pleased that I get to leave here on my own terms. I’m even more excited that I’m leaving to chase my lifelong dream of being a superstar in the ring.
(Alexander flips through a few papers he has in his hands.)
Alexander: I have your file from the front office and it says here that you’re from Orlando and that while studying at your university you represented the wrestling team at three NCAA championships. Do you really think that a short career in amateur wrestling has fully prepared you for rigors of the EHWF?
(The Professor checks his watch and stands, his imposing presence making it obvious that this interview is wrapping up.)
The Professor: I’ve got a lot riding on this Alex. I’m giving up my career at the peak. I’m here to make waves. It’s time for me to get to class. Tell the people in Rhode Island and Pennsylvanian that I’m anxiously waiting for my first match.
(The Professor steps around the desk and out the office door giving Alexander a polite nod of the head on his way out the door.)
