”It’s Time…”
October 11th, 2013 – 6:30 P.M.
Indira Gandhi Arena - New Delhi, India
It’s been a long time since I’ve been seen in an Arena during a wrestling event. A little less than two years since the sound of the crowd reached my ears. What a sweet sound it was. The dull roar of the fans making their way into the arena heard through the thick walls of the corridors. As I continue walking, a small smirk graces my features. I’m home…almost.
I look down to the packet of papers in my left hand. The “EHWF” logo can be seen on the header of the first page. I pass the locker rooms, almost with a sense of longing. The time couldn’t come soon enough in my mind. The desire, no, the need to be a part of a locker room again courses through my veins.
A small sigh of impatience escapes my lips, but I shrug the feeling off as I continue on my way. After a few more moments of walking, I find myself in front of a large door with the name plate “C.E.O.” across it. Raising my free right hand, I knock three times on the door and wait.
”Come In.”
Taking a deep breath, I turn the door knob and walks in. There, standing behind a large desk, is the C.E.O. of EHWF: Scorpion. An intimidating figure, standing a good half foot taller than me, I have to crane my neck a bit to look into his eyes.
”I’ve finished the contract, and have supplied you with the required medical history. Figured I’d bring it by since I have nothing better to do.”
It was meant to come off as a joke, but I can tell it wasn’t received as such. Scorpion’s eyes narrow a bit, looking over to the packet of papers in my hand.
”You figured, huh? Well. Let’s see it then.”
Nodding, I hand the paperwork over to Scorpion and remain standing as my, hopefully, future boss sits in his chair, thumbing through the paperwork.
”Everything looks in order. Signed all the dotted lines and we haven’t even talked money yet.”
The slyness in his tone is unmistakable. He must think I’m an idiot. I can’t help but let a small laugh escape my lips.
”Money is no issue for me. I’m not in this business to make an insane amount of money. I’m here because this is what I love to do. Money is just a nice bonus to it.”
He scoffs at me before shrugging and picking up a pen. He starts to sign the paperwork, but stops and looks at me before setting the pen down again.
”Tell me why I should sign you to this contract. You’ve been in the business a few years with a small list of injuries. What incentive do I have to sign a guy like you? Who’s to say you’re not going to get banged up again, and this contract is for nothing?”
I smirk a bit at him. I can tell my reaction catches him off guard. He’s trying to be intimidating, but I’ve been around his time before. I step forward and place both of my hands on his desk. I lean over to him, as if whispering a secret to him in a low voice.
”Because. Not signing me would be the biggest mistake of your career. You’ve seen the things I can do. You know what I’m capable of. I am damn good at what I do, and people come back to see more. You need a guy like me. And frankly, I’m not sure I’d take no for an answer.”
I stand back up, and he looks at me for a moment with an almost thoughtful expression before laughing.
”I like you…but you really don’t have a choice if I say no. What makes you so sure I need you?”
”Because I have something these current guys don’t have: the desire to come back from an injury better than ever. I’ve been on the shelf for the better part of two years. I need to be back in a locker room. I need to get back in the ring and feed off that loud ass crowd!”
I’m getting worked up, pacing back and forth a bit in the office. I stop and look to Scorpion. Our eyes locking and my eyes narrow. The smirk and care free features on my face are long gone now. They’ve been replaced by determination and passion. We stay like this for a moment; neither one of us speaking with our voices. Our eyes tell the story.
He nods and then looks down, scribbling his signature on the contract before standing up and handing a copy to me. I grin and take the copy offered to me before shaking the man’s hand.
”Don’t make me regret this.”
His tone is serious but I just grin at him and wink before walking out the door. I don’t care. I’m a signed wrestler again! Now…to keep everything under wraps until later tonight.

OOC: A small note. I did this RP in this section mostly because I didn't require any interaction WITH Scorpion himself, so I figured it wouldn't need to go in the Staff Section.
Also...No one was on for me to ask if it was ok to use Scorpion in this. If I have in anyway misrepresented his character, let me know and I have no problems taking this post down. Just got bored and thought this up on the fly.
