May 9, 2014 Miami, Florida American Airlines Arena Immediately Following the End of the Mayhem Broadcast
Scotty Paine had left the ring. Realistically speaking, there was no way David should have known that - he was still down on his stomach in the center of the mat, eyes closed tight, one hand held to his back as it arched in agony from the two consecutive barbed-wire chairshots Paine had dealt him. But even still, he knew. There was always a subtle shift when someone entered or exited the ring - a change in the give of the mat, or the way the air flowed through it, or something else David could not quantify - and even when down on the mat, writhing in pain, he could sense it.
Forcing himself up to his hands and knees, David opened his eyes and saw that Paine had begun making his way up the ramp, approaching where Brandon Bash, RNRG, and the other ECWF sympathizers were still gathered. Fighting to suppress a pained grimace, he crawled over to the ropes and motioned for a microphone, which appeared in his hands after a second or two. David fought to his feet and went over to the ropes closest to the ramp, wincing with each step and raising the mic to his mouth.
David: Paine.
His voice was calm, monotone - really, the times when it was anything else these days could be counted on one hand - but the sheer venom that dripped from it was enough to stop Scotty Paine cold, halfway up the ramp. David couldn't yet tell if he was with the ECWF'ers or not, but the look on his face when he turned was the same as theirs - obvious surprise that he was back on his feet so soon, coupled with something else. Concern, maybe, or worry. He wasn't sure.
Reaching around and wiping a hand across his lacerated back, he looked at it for a moment before holding it out in front of him, exposing the bloodied palm to those gathered on the stage and ramp.
David: The thing about blood... is that it only ever begets more blood. Now, after what you just pulled, you have two options. The first is to come back down the ramp, get back in the ring, and volunteer payment of your own accord.
He gestured to the ECWF'ers with his bloody hand.
David: You can bring them too, if you like - in my estimation, there isn't much difference between squashing one ant and squashing ten. Your second option is to head the rest of the way up the ramp, vanish into the back, and call it a night, in which case I'll be forced to find you, get you, and settle your debt myself. And if that happens, Paine, all you need to do is remember the match we just had to know that I am many things in this ring, but gentle is not one of them.
Something interesting happened right then - the crowd, who had been booing David for months on end and even as he rose back up and addressed Paine just now, popped mildly. It was merely brought on by the prospect of another fight, David was certain, especially one they thought he would lose, but it was still an odd response to hear after so much time had passed.
David: Now...
He left the ropes, backing up to the center of the ring and spreading his arms wide.
David: Make your choice.
TBC: Paine, Bash, RNRG, etc.

RNRG tells Scotty to calm down as he steps halfway down the ramp and pulls out a mic with all of his ECWF Sympathisers behind him. He stares out at David Smith in the ring as he smirks with an arrogant expression.
RNRG: Shahahahahaha! Please... PLEASE! Give me a break you hard on... You need to get laid, seriously. David GS... I'm sorry, David Gideon Smith. Who do you think you're talking to? When you call out on of us you call out all of us! This is ECWF you greasy piece of scum!
RNRG spits on the ramp and signals for his boys to storm the area!
RNRG: Ants? The only ant I see here is you David... Tired... Bleeding...Beaten up. You're in no position to be calling out one of us to a fight let alone all of us. Time to teach your bitch ass a lesson. ECWF! Lets give this faggot a savage beating that'll traumatise him for the rest of his meaningless life!
Rockin', Haylee, Dimter, 2 Dope, Chance Davis and The Broad Street Bullies all get up onto the apron and surround the ring. RNRG, Bash and the remaining ECWF guys make their way back up to the ramp and watch from the side. The ECWF soldiers begin to slowly enter the ring.

The ECWF soldiers have just made it into the ring. Though surrounded, David looks his usual composed self. As the gang of wrestlers surround the EHWF Champion, the lights dim. It's a slight change in luminance, but it is enough to catch the attention of everyone in the arena...until...
'The last thing I heard, was you whispering goodbye, and then I heard you FLATLINE'
"Not Gonna Die" by Skillet hits over the PA System to a huge pop from the remaining fans. The former EHWF Champion, Silver Kazama, bursts out from behind the black curtain. He shoves past RNRG and Brandon Bash as he bolts down to the ring. He jumps up onto the apron before spring boarding off the top rope right onto Rockin' with a dropkick. All hell breaks loose as the ECWF crew splits up. The Broad Street Bulles and Chance Davis pounce on Silver as Haylee, 2Dope, and Dimter assault David. Each small group is in opposite corners of the ring. Though outnumbered, both David's and Silver's fists are flying, hitting anything and everything in their path.
David is the first to drop Haylee with a straight shot to the jaw, knocking her down and out. As David begins to work his advantage on Dimter and 2Dope, The Broad Street Bulles are seen toppling over the top rope and onto the outside. Silver hoists Chance Davis up onto his shoulders, and with a loud yell of rage, swings Davis' legs high over his head before planting him with a Silver Diamond.
Silver gets up just in time to see David bolting towards him. 2Dope and Dimter are right behind him, and Silver reacts. He lunges towards David, and just as David ducks down for some reason, Silver leaps over him, rotating his body around. Devil Trigger to 2Dope! Silver lands on his feet and looks behind him to see that David hit one of the Broad Street Bullies with a Spear. Silver wastes no time in grabbing Dimter and vaulting him over the top rope to the outside.
The ECWF regiment is cleared from the ring, and only Silver and David are left standing. Slowly, the two men turn to each other. Their breathing is labored slightly, and Silver just shrugs at David with a bit of a smirk.
Silver Kazama "You looked like you could use some help."
The statement is made off the microphone, but loud enough for David to hear it. The two men stand across the ring from each other, their eyes telling the story.
(TBC: David Gideon Smith)

David looked at Silver, then at the recovering ECWF'ers on the outside, then out at the crowd. They'd been booing him before, but now? Now that the Last Kazama had played the big damn hero, at the same time forcing him, David, to act in a way the fans deemed favorable? They were on their feet and cheering. Of course they were. They made him sick. Slowly, jaw clenched, he turned back to Silver. He made him sick.David: You... you're a puppet . He wouldn't be part of it. He wouldn't let himself be strung up. He took a step back from Silver, shaking his head coldly. David: Nothing but a puppet. TBC: Silver

In spite of it all, Silver laughs. It isn't a small chuckle, either. It's a hearty, deep, chest rumbling laugh. He runs a hand through his hair and shrugs his shoulders
Silver Kazama "You may be right. I may be a puppet. But I'm a puppet who loves this business. I'm a puppet who loves what I do, what we do."
A strange look crosses Silver's face as he puts his hands on his sides with a slight frown.
Silver Kazama "I'm also a puppet who likes where I'm at. You can't tell me you'd rather be wrestling for another company. If that were the case you wouldn't be here. Look out there, David."
Silver directs a finger to the stage where the ECWF contingent are retreating. RNRG, Brandon Bash, and Scotty Paine still standing tall as the others stumble towards them.
Silver Kazama "You can't tell me that you would rather work for them. They'll ruin this place. Look around you, David. Our paths are intertwined whether we like it or not. I'm not asking you to like me. Hell, I'm not even asking you to trust me. I'm asking you to help me. Help me end this before it gets out of control."
Silver shakes his head, his eyes returning to David as he takes a step closer towards him.
Silver Kazama "Help me end this ECWF rising, David, and then you and I...we can finish our business. You call me a puppet, but just remember one thing, David. I'm a puppet who is coming back for another shot."

Suddenly the conversation that had been on going inside the ring was interrupted. There was now a bright spot light that had been shining into the crowd, but why? Suddenly the spot light shown on someone very familiar, that man was non other then the EHWF North American Champion, Bill Ryder. There he stood in the mist of the shadows of the crowd; his eyes piercing straight through the crowd of ECWF Superstars who were still lingering on the top of the ramp. His eyes focused on one individual and one individual only, and that man he despised the most, Brandon Bash. Bill raised his right arm as he extended his index finger out pointing it directing at Brandon Bash, as you can see Bill speak a few words that were directed towards Brandon.
Bill Ryder "Soon.. You will be at my feet begging for mercy."
The camera watched as Bill sent a confident smirk towards Brandon.

David glanced out into the crowd, where Ryder stood, and rolled his eyes. Ants waging war against ants, one mound of dirt and feces pitted against another.David: I don't care about that place. He nodded up the ramp at the ECWF'ers.David: I don't care about this place. He tapped his heel against the mat, glancing at Ryder again before refocusing on Silver.David: But if you're... happy, if you're content where you are... then there's nothing I can do for you. There's nothing you can do for yourself. He leaned in close to Silver, narrowing his eyes at the man whose number he had taken and would never give back. David: They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. You have already fallen twice, Silver... but go. Continue on as you are, as you have always been. Wage your war. And when you're done... feel free to come back, dangling from your strings, and I will be glad to reinforce your insanity once more. He left then. Out of the ring, up the ramp, right past the recuperating ECWF'ers, and into the back. He'd said all he cared to say.TBC
