EHWF End of Year Awards 2014
Man of the Year: Silver Kazama
The Man of the Year Award this year goes to the much deserving Silver Kazama. Even though Silver Kazama has fallen off at the very end of this year, his accomplishments and efforts have been amazing in 2014. Silver has had great feuds this year including one of the best in EHWF history with DGS. He has won the EHWF Championship twice this year and has won the main event at Scars and Stripes. Silver quickly became the top face and hero of EHWF and even though he may be gone, this is an award that he truly deserves. Out of character he always put in effort, never complained about a loss and lead the fed by example. Congrats Silver, you earned it.
Woman of the Year: Blaise
Clearly the woman of the year of 2014 is Blaise. Blaise came into EHWF defeating big names like Silver Kazama and Wilmer Patacky and even became the first female Hardcore Champion. She exploded into 2014 as the HC Champion, racking up a huge winning streak. Through 2014 Blaise has only lost 2 matches and has never been pinned. After her second loss she bounced back by defeating the top heel at the time and becoming the first ever woman to win the EHWF Championship! Out of character she has always put in the effort, never complained about anything and has always just tried to be ‘bout that life. For these reasons, Blaise is the Woman of 2014.
Tag Team of the Year: Mazzio & Aubree
While this award was fairly difficult to pick for 2014, we were able to find a winner. With many of the former tag teams and stables of EHWF dying off during the year without accomplishing much. Domenic Mazzio and Aubree Celeste have teamed on numerous occasions and have been one of the most effective teams for a long time. They won the Tag Team Championships not too long ago and have been probably the most solid and stable team over the past 2 years in EHWF.
Stable/Faction of the Year: Corporate Powers
Another hard award to pick but the Faction of the year award will go to the Corporate Powers. Not just the Corporate Power Billionaires but the whole Corporate Power faction over the course of 2014. It started out as Scorpion and Brandon Bash leading a team of assholes and spawned off to include an ever-expanding roster of heels and now scrapes semi-part time talent, which still is able to register as one of the most interesting things to happen each week. Scorpion, Black Man, Brandon Bash, Ray LaPointe, Alex, Ryan Mercury, Eli Sykes, Madison Murdock, Nick Rissi and Van Jam have all been apart of this stable over the one-year and it has been one of the most antagonistic forces EHWF has ever seen. Here’s to much success for the Corporate Power Billionaires in 2014!
PPV of the Year: Scars & Stripes
The PPV of 2014 goes to Scars and Stripes. The Flagship Event for EHWF usually wins this award but this year for very good reason. We saw amazing title matches, great match ups and some very cool segments. Silver Kazama won the EHWF Championship in the Extreme Hell in a Cell Match, which was regarded of one of the greatest matches of all time. It was just an all around great event.
Match of the Year: Extreme Hell in a Cell @ Scars & Stripes
There were many matches that could have won this award; Silver/DGS Empty Arena Match, Silver vs. Wilmer @ 150, Mazzio vs. TQ Smooth, Aubree Celeste vs. Conner Creed for the Jr Heavyweight title, Mazzio vs. Ryan Mercury BUT the winner this year of course is the Extreme Hell in a Cell @ Scars & Stripes. David Smith’s title was on the line in an all out war between, Mazzio, Mercury, Sykes, Patacky, Kazama and Smith himself. We saw Smith spear guys through the cage, Silver dive from a ladder on top of the cage and Mazzio even tear the cell apart with his bare hands! In the end Silver Kazama won the EHWF Championship in the match of the year and one of the greatest matches ever.
Feud of the Year: Silver Kazama/David Smith
This feud is easily the winner of this award in 2014. Some were beginning to come close but Kazama and Smith just had a great story together. They had match after match after match and hogged the main event and title picture then when they were both relegated down the card, their feud became a little more repetitive than classic and then when Silver Kazama returned a month after his career ending beating to challenge DGS again, we just jumped the shark. Nonetheless this feud was easily the winner of this award and it was a great feud to watch. Hopefully we’ll see Silver vs. David again… but not too soon.
Moment of the Year: Blaise becoming the first woman to win the EHWF Championship
Blaise becoming the first female EHWF Champion of the World is the biggest thing to happen to the EHWF landscape not only in 2014 but in a long time. Blaise broke glass ceilings for women everywhere and feminists finally got off of our case. Seeing this moment really deserves the moment of the year.
Move of the Year: Lubrication Twist @ Scars and Stripes
Wilmer Patacky wins the award for move of the year for his Lubrication Twist on Mazzio in the Extreme Hell in a Cell match at Scars and Stripes! Wilmer perfectly executed the move after an hour of bloody ruthless fighting and finished Mazzio off only to have Silver run in and steal the glory by making the cover. Regardless, Wilmer hit the championship winning, Scars and Stripes main event move and has captured the Move of the Year Award!
New Comer of the Year: Conner Creed
Conner Creed joined at the beginning of 2014 and has stuck it out all the way through to today. The guy has no off days, he always puts in the effort and he has grown from a true new comer to a solid EHWF talent and champion. Creed has held the Jr Heavyweight Champion and is the current champion at the moment and he has taken some pretty big scalps while he’s been here. Creed is slowly getting over as one of the top heels in EHWF and is continuing a great roll and championship reign. Not bad for a new comer eh?
Joke of the Year: Drake Coleman
Drake ‘Mr. Murica’ Coleman wins the Joke of the Year this year. He just disappeared at the start of the year. Flaked his matches and his match writing duties and left Scorpion in the dark. Strangely enough, Drake reappeared and said he would return at the HoF Showcase but he no showed that as well and hasn’t resurfaced since. This is like the third time this weirdo has done that after promising Scorpion he never would flake or leave without saying a word again. Drake Coleman is most deserving for the Joke of the Year… We couldn’t give it to Scotty Paine again… Could we?
King of Bereavement Tournament Winner: Masturbation Nation
Miss Scars & Stripes: Aubree Celeste
Shock of the Year: Scorpion leaving EHWF and stepping down as Owner
Perhaps the most shocking thing to happen to EHWF was Scorpion stepping down as owner of EHWF and leaving. Sure he still comes around at times but it’s just not the same

Most Promising for 2015: Alexandria Kendrick
The Most Promising talent for 2015 goes to Alexandria Kendrick. After her rebrand she has been on a roll, winning some great matches and becoming the Hardcore Champion in quick fashion. Everyone is eager to see what she accomplishes in 2015. Good luck!
Social Media Brawl of the Year: DGS vs. The Quartz Family
Social Media heavyweights, David Smith and James Champ take home this new award in 2014. These guys had epic twitter arguments in MORE than 140 characters! They just went on and on and on and we’re still not sure if they’ve stopped yet. These guys have their smartphones by their sides 24/7 and with their rapid replies – they have provided much entertainment. Instagram selfie war next year?
