The other night I was watching R.O.H. and got to thinking how others veiw/read EHWF. Like when you are reading the results how do you visualize it. Production level, graphics, ECT. Do you see it as more of a WWE type show (high production level/main stream) or more r.o.h./ecw feel (still big but on a much smaller level)
I personally get an ecw roh vibe. I read it as people who are well known in the business yes, has cult like following of fans, seen as a premiere place to be wrestling. But much like roh does small venues, low lighting, somewhat cheap and cheesy graphics.

When I write matches/shows I envision grand production like WWE but when I RP (or read the RPs) I always channel ol' school NWA. Since I grew up during the "territory days," I have always been fond of companies like ROH/ECW (even the strugling Impact Wrestling or whaever they call themselves now).
Though I must say I feel that the "B Show" Anarchy has that small indy vibe compared to what would be the glitz and glamour of Mayhem. And I like it that way!

Ive always looked at the EHWF as like the ruthless aggression era of wwe. Vulgarity and a "we can do what we want" sort of vibe

I've just seen EHWF as modern day WWE with the attitude era mixed into it. We're searching for the "guy" and were loaded with heels that don't give a fuck and are very much self-centered. The only thing we have a plethora of is stables and I feel WWE does not.
Which actually makes me think of something to branch off of this, who do people see as EHWF's "the guy" and why. I think it'd be interesting to see people's opinions.

I am leaning more towards the Attitude Era. The Black Asylum reminds me of the Ministry of Darkness. I loved the rivalries between the anti-hero Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon and tossing Shawn Michaels in there as the commissioner was brilliant.
When I'm reading the results, I actually visualize the match in my head, using our picture bases, of course.

Smith I've always seen as a bit edgier version of SCSA As to whos "the guy" I'd say Ryder for anarchy. Reminds me of the Seth Rollins and authority a few years back. I also think Kevin hunter is up there high on the list of names vying for "the guy" title.

On the "The Guy" topic, I was really hoping to help fashion a clear "ace" for Anarchy as I'm a big believer in the good vs evil arc. I definitely agree that we are heel heavy on both brands as such the best stories/feuds aren't fully being tapped into without a counterbalance of faces. Even if there aren't several faces, at least there should be one clear cut character that is the good guy.
To be more specific to the topic, I can see Scott Wilson being the top face, especially since he’s holding the top title. With Jason Dave there now it gives Mayhem a good top tier of good guys. As far as Anarchy, I was pushing for Dave with Eric Smith being the tweener with face tendencies a la Stone Cold. Now with Dave gone I can see Smith moving to the Anarchy ace. I would LOVE to see Jessie Roberts step up and become more of the hero (hint, hint).

Dude, you just made my day with that comparison! I freaking love Rollins heel run with the Authority. It's such a shame that knee injury happened to him. Totally killed his momentum.

You traded away two guys who I consider top tier faces in EHWF.
Silver and Mazzio.

Im thinking Scott Wilson is "the guy" for Mayhem and for Anarchy, I would say its actually Joshua Samson even though he doesn't wrestle. Reason being is he is the root of all evil and once he would be eliminated I feel the whole heel faction would sort of shatter.
For how I read shows, Mayhem is like a big WWE production and I read Anarchy as a NXT event. Smaller venue but still high intensity.

Its funny how many people look at Anarchy as the B. Show or a lower brand. Was that ever specified? If it was I dont remember. I see them as two EQUAL brands no a. Or b. show. I'd even go as far as saying Anarchy has better roleplayers than mayhem. In fact I'd love to see a show where the brands go head to head for surpremcey. A survivor series style show Haha

A survivor series style show Haha Having a PPV where it's brand vs brand would be pretty sick. All the champions should have to defend their championships and if someone from the opposite brand wins a title, they have to go to other brand. It would mix things up and give some people the chance to switch brands.
